Ms. Martin has practiced law in Connecticut since 1982 with extensive experience in complex divorce and family law cases. Her background includes experience in resolving family law cases through litigation, mediation and the collaborative process. Ms. Martin’s work in representing parties and minor children has influenced her belief that skillful collaboration can resolve even the most difficult family law disputes concerning custody and finances.

She served twice as a member of the Connecticut Child Support Guidelines Commission and currently serves as a Special Master for Hartford Superior Court, a court-sponsored mediation program that assists couples in resolving their family law disputes.

Ms. Martin is the founder of Connecticut Family Mediation, LLC with an office in Avon and has co-mediated with a clinical psychologist since receiving her training as a mediator in 1995.

She is a member of the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation, Association for Conflict Resolution, the Family Law Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and the Family Law Committee of the Hartford County Bar Association.

Ms. Martin is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Western New England School of Law and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and in the U. S. District Court for Connecticut.
