A graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and Syracuse University College of Law, Ira has ten years of experience in family law.

He volunteers as a Special Master, represents children in Family and Probate Courts and has over 40 hours of formal mediation training. Ira is a member of the Connecticut Council of Divorce Mediators and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
