Collaborative Divorce is an alternative to the adversarial divorce process where professionals and the spouses or partners commit in writing to work together to help the couple reach a divorce settlement out of court which addresses the needs and interests of the couple and their family.

Dr. Cole is a Divorce Coach and Clinical Psychologist, who is committed to the peaceful resolution of divorce. For the last 25 years she has worked with families and individuals during and after divorce, as a psychotherapist, and in recent years as a divorce coach. Her conviction is that divorce does not have to be destructive: through clear communication and respectful decision-making, families can heal and grow. As a Divorce Coach, Dr. Cole helps couples resolve their divorces with fairness, dignity, and concern for the well-being of everyone in the family.

Dr. Cole has a Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University, and she earned her doctorate at Michigan State University. She interned at UCSF, and began her career at the Stanford University Medical Center. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, and the founding member of the Glastonbury Psychotherapy Network. She is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Divorce Professionals Association, and co-president of The Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group.
